Lincoln Elementary School is a neighborhood school serving the population of southwestern Augusta. Lincoln is one of the newest schools in Augusta having opened in September of 1988.

Lincoln meets the varied needs of its students through a variety of programs. In addition to the fourteen regular classes there are: a gifted and talented program, a Title One program, a Project Pride program, a computer lab, a library/media center, a variety of special education programs and Art, French, Music and Physical Education programs. Lincoln's staff works hard to provide an academic program which challenges students to achieve to their highest potential.

BtS  Principal's Message

Last school year, our staff learned about the components of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  This consists of creating core values and expectations in all areas of the building with staff utilizing common language with all of our students.  For school year 17/18, we will be moving to fully implementing the concepts we have learned around PBIS.  This will still be a learning year for our staff as we reflect and reivse the tools we have created.

Lincoln School Report Card

The Maine Department of Education released this year's letter grades to all Maine schools.  We are proud to say that Lincoln's report card for this year is a B (280 points).  We went up 13 points and a letter grade from our previous year score.  We went up in all but one of the sub groups. The grade is based on our NECAP (New England Comprehensive Assessment Program) three-year average scores in reading and math, as well as our PAAP (Personalized Alternate Assessment Portfolio) results.  The scores reflect the school’s overall students who met/exceeded proficiency, students who showed growth, and the growth of the students who scored in the bottom 25% from the previous year.  Lincoln staff will continue its efforts with improving instruction in the areas of math, reading, and writing as well as providing our students with direct support to meet their academic needs.  (2014 Report Card)
